Michael Baudo is the founder of Strategic Direction, a wealth advisory practice built on decades of institutional finance experience with some of the largest financial institutions in the world.
He began his career on Wall Street in the early 1990s and spent the following three decades on the institutional side of the markets, managing and advising global markets businesses and the trades, hedges, and transactions that balance what an institution owes against what it owns. The assets and liabilities under his management ran into the hundreds of billions, and his clients and counterparties included major banks, hedge funds, and financial institutions worldwide. The last and longest stretch of that career was in chief executive leadership, including president and chief executive of a US broker-dealer and swap dealer.
Work at that level is unforgiving about analysis. A mispriced risk surfaces immediately and in size, which leaves no room for a position that cannot be defended on its merits. That is the standard Michael brings to individual and family planning.
Strategic Direction serves individuals, families, business owners and professionals. Tax efficiency runs through all of it, on the principle that what a client keeps matters more than what a portfolio earns. Michael works nationally, with concentrations in metropolitan New York and South Florida.

The objective he works toward is success accompanied by clarity and confidence. Michael has his Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia University.
